We have no investors. Everything moves forward on our own capital. This shows that we depend on no one. We make our decisions on our own. We can do things other companies wouldn't want to do. We can do extraordinary things, or work on very rare subjects.
A terrarium is the name given to ecosystems that can sustain themselves. Building self-sufficient products is our priority. We try to depend on the outside as little as possible. In some products we don't even use APIs. We prefer not to use third-party products.
You can't learn about the road without setting out on it. Short distances on a map can turn out to be steep slopes in reality. Rather than moving forward by looking at the map alone, it matters to move forward "by making use of the map".
We don't champion only one particular programming language while disparaging the others. The same goes for everything else. We find this childish. We hold that mature thinking means creating a development environment according to the needs of the project. When necessary, we can change technology or method. This lets us adapt to situations quickly.
A person knows about 150 people on average. With more people, processes become unwieldy. Even at 150 people, it is hard to reach the agility a core team can achieve.
Our slogan is "Work hard. Live. Make history." The word in the middle, live, is very important. In the end, we are all human and we deserve to live a good life. A satisfying life. We try to apply this motto in our products as well.
Sometimes, with awareness, we stop, step back and look at the big picture. Are we on the intended path, or are there deviations?
Discipline is lovely. But harsh discipline is not lovely at all. The harsher you are, the more fragile you become. While the hard thing keeps its hardness, what surrounds it can become fragile.

Petroleum's value multiplied many times over only once the automobile existed. Some call this laziness. We call it creative procrastination. Sometimes unusual ideas come at moments you don't expect. Like in the toilet. But knowing that, we don't build toilets and come up with ideas while enjoying the toilet together. That would be rather odd. We find it valuable for people to breathe the same air and have their elbows touch. But not all the time. All the time would, over time, fill the room with carbon dioxide.
Life is not as clear-cut as black and white. It is different shades of gray.
Einstein's special relativity says that time is not absolute. It depends on the observer's motion and speed. To some, 15 minutes is very little; to others, 15 minutes is a lot. Sometimes creativity doesn't show up even in 15 minutes, but sometimes it feels like 15 minutes.
To be able to name the ingredients in a dish, you need a strong palate. And tastes only get stronger the more different tastes you consume. Interdisciplinary curiosity is very important for the progress of humankind. A large gene pool creates stronger tomorrows.
If something can be solved by you and us being available at that moment... that should be the last option. Asynchronous communication is mostly better. Because every availability costs a living being a piece of its lifetime.
Being busy with things that disrupt even your life should not be seen as success. You have to work hard. The idea that you will achieve success if you work nonstop for weeks and months is not true. Even if someone who is 1.50 m tall works very hard, their chances of becoming an active player on an NBA team are quite low.
It takes intense labor to simplify startups with buttery-smooth mechanics to the point that they look easy. Don't be fooled into thinking it was done easily just by thinking with your eyes. Labor is an abstract word. That you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't real. "Under today's conditions, you can draw the blueprint of a working fission power plant on paper, but you cannot draw a working fusion power plant."
No matter how successful a greengrocer is. A greengrocer knows less about jewelry than a jeweler. If you want information about jewelry, talk to a jeweler, not the greengrocer. Because anyone can hold a ship's wheel and steer left and right. But not everyone can plot a course by looking at the stars. Only the captain can do that.
Only rarely, with certain problems, do we take "the root" from the very beginning; most of the time there is no need to tackle problems from scratch. If a solution exists, it is used.
Momentum is, at its core, the "amount of motion" an object has. If you turn the car off while waiting at a red light and restart it at green, you don't save anything. If, when you see the red light, you slow down without turning the engine off and pass when it turns green, you do save. Because it means that in the first calculation you didn't take momentum into account.
